✨ “What goes on behind the scenes to make a world-class hotel run smoothly?”  

For the Tourism and Hospitality Studies (THS) students at Caritas Fanling Chan Chun Ha Secondary School, this question opened the door to a world of hospitality and professional possibilities.

Last month, Nicole Chung (Fellow 2025-26) collaborated with EAST Hong Kong for an immersive, eye-opening hotel visit, creating an impactful space for students to gain direct, real-world exposure to the hospitality sector.

The afternoon kicked off with an engaging hotel introduction, followed by an interactive detective game and a vibrant hotel tour. This creative approach immediately sparked the students’ curiosity, transforming the visit into an active, hands-on and engaging exploration of the hotel.

The true highlight of the day was the Human Library sharing session. Several of our students currently work part-time in the fast-food industry and already hold a budding interest in Restaurant & Bar. Hearing the authentic stories, professional insights, and career trajectories from team members across Housekeeping, R&B, and the Guest Experience completely expanded their horizons, planting a powerful seed for what a long-term career in hospitality can look like.
