One-Year Fellowship Journey

- Promising and passionate university graduates and working professionals from diverse sectors are welcome to serve as frontline teachers at high-need schools

10 Months Teaching Placement
Fellows will experience:
- 50% subject teaching load in the classroom
- Lesson preparation, administration, meetings, and other duties assigned by the school
- Leading impact initiatives on thematic education both inside and outside the classroom in collaboration with corporate partners and peer Fellows

Ongoing Training & Development
Fellows will recieve:
- 6 weeks Summer teacher training from Jul to Aug, and
- 10 months leadership training & coaching from Sep to Jun

Life Long Alumni Community
Alumni will:
- Connect with Fellows across cohorts through various formats
- Lead initiatives that inspire collaboration within the community
- Participate in leader-sharing sessions and workshops, available optionally

Program Details
Each year, applicants will go through the following process:
- Online application submission
- Video Interview
- Assessment Day
- Offer & Onboarding
We welcome individuals who are:
- Aged 35 or under as of 31 Dec 2026
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Have graduated or will be graduating latest by 2026
- Have work authorization in Hong Kong (HKPR/IANG Visa) prior to the Program commencement
Teach Subject Classes
- To provide Fellows with greater capacity to enhance students’ learning experiences, they conduct classes with a teaching load that is 50% lower than that of regular teachers.
Lead Impact Initiatives
- To cultivate students’ potential based on observed needs and create solutions for existing challenges, Fellows organize at least 8 sessions of impact initiatives with the following themes:

Other Duties Assigned by the Partner School and TFHK
- To understand the challenges students face beyond academic studies, Fellows will be assigned tasks including, but not limited to:

- academic and non-academic meetings as a committee member, parents communication, and school events coordination.

Teacher and Leadership Training
- Recieve the condensed professional teaching training from Quality School Improvement Project (QSIP) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong
- Attend leader-sharing sessions and workshops in the areas of educational and social innovations, soft skills development, and community learning to analyze in-school experiences from a broader perspective
- Professional Development Coaching and Mentoring:
Professional development coaching aimed at developing leadership competencies - A mentorship program by TFHK alumni to provide life and career guidance and inspire career aspirations
- A certified coach from the TFHK team will help Fellows set goals and navigate their Fellowship journey
A diverse and supportive network:
- 200+ alumni from diverse career path, including frontline education, business, technology, legal, education-related professions, and NGOs & social innovation, work together in pursuit of educational equity
- Support from school principals and mentors to provide teaching and learning experiences for Fellows
- Range of Stipend from September to June Provided by Assigned School: HKD 17,000 – 18,000 per month (half of Point 15 on the Master Pay Scale of the Civil Service Bureau).
**Remarks:
For the six-week summer training from July to August, TFHK will subsidize all training expenses during that period, including professional teaching training by CUHK and other training sessions.
Duration:
- Jul – Mid Aug 2026: Complusory Training
- Aug 2026: Orientation & Meetings at Partner School
- Sep 2026 – Jun 2027: Teaching Placement
School Placement Matching:
- Fellows will be assigned to one of our partner schools (either primary or secondary school)
- Our partner schools are at least 50% of the student population receives financial support from government assistance (including Comprehensive Social Security Assistance) or student financial aid, or where 25% of the student population is non-Chinese
