Let’s review Teach For Hong Kong’s Link and Explore Kwun Tong Exploration Day!

We are incredibly grateful to have had volunteers from Link, our alumni, Fellows, Youth Ambassadors, VolTra Hong Kong and partner schools join us for a day of exploration that transformed an ordinary day into an extraordinary journey of discovery.

🎤 The event kicked off with inspiring talks from Woody Chan, Senior Manager of Link Sustainability Department, and Betty Sek (TFHK Fellow 2024-25), setting the stage for a Human Library session. Through the sharing of personal stories from our guests about navigating their career pathways and the nature of various job industries, one student shared, “It gave us a fantastic opportunity to learn about different industries, dispelling myths and uncovering the exciting, fun side of work.”

🗺️ The day wrapped up with an engaging tour of Kwun Tong, where students demonstrated teamwork as they completed tasks at designated spots in the district. This not only provided them a chance to explore often-overlooked aspects of Hong Kong but also cultivated their social awareness and teamwork skills.

This Exploration Day is just the first chapter for our students. In the coming months, they will have more opportunities to connect with and explore their communities, deepening their sense of belonging while discovering the career options available to ignite their passions.
